Porvair's comprehensive microplate range includes polystyrene assay plates, clear and solid bottomed plates, polypropylene storage plates (deep and shallow well), vacuum manifolds, manual as well as electro-pneumatic plate sealers, and nitrogen blow down evaporators. All Porvair Sciences products are designed to accelerate your laboratory processes through innovative technology and high quality material selection.
Porvair Sciences has developed a number of storage /collection plates to help in the fields of cell biology, molecular biology, drug discovery, combinatorial chemistry, screening and genomics. The plates are manufactured under clean room conditions and a significant number are DNase/RNase free. They are mainly from polypropylene, an inert material giving heat and solvent resistant qualities. Each plate is made to ANSI/SLAS format for compatibility with most readers/washers and automated equipment.
Porvair's evaporators are designed to remove the traditional 'bottleneck' of solvent evaporation from microplates prior to analysis or reconstitution in storage buffer. There are four models available for varying lab needs. There are two manually controlled models: the Minivap™ and the Minivap™ Gemini™. The two computer automated evaporators consist of the Ulravap™ Levante™ and the Ultravap™ Mistral™. These evaporators give significate throughput advantages to laboratories looking to optimize microplate sample preparation productivity. Faster than centrifugal evaporation, significant increases in sample throughput are achieved through advanced evaporator head technology and an innovative manifold design, which directly injects headed nitrogen into each individual well of the microplate simultaneously. The evaporators have been designed to be simple to install, operate and maintain.
