Follow on Google News | 'Married at first sight, dysfunction on steroids!"Australian award winning Author, slams the controversial show, Married At First Sight.
Currently we are seeing the popularity of Married At First Sight as a franchise. There are various editions of the show in countries like New Zealand and the Unite states. One of the realities of reality shows is that their popularity is also because many people can see themselves, or someone they know or many times situations close to home. Award Winning Author, Wisdom V Mupudzi, says whilst the concept of the show is popular, the problem is that the dysfunction that is on the show can be toxic. There is emotional torment, and many times psychological torture. One of the cases is for example, is a time when one of the husbands used her wife's toothbrush to clean the toilet. Another example in the last season was when Jess made her husband stay whilst she was making moves on someone else. Talk about manipulation. We have seen verbal, emotional and psychological abuse. This then defeats the purpose of campaigning to curb domestic violence, when such a show takes dysfunction as entertainment. Whilst the show has judges and they have judgement calls, the truth is, the show has some weak points. Shows like that bank on the drama, and the chaos that erupt in highly volatile situations. Clearly, there is always an agenda when it comes to casting. Wisdom adds, on and says, with the rise of domestic violence in Australia and world over, people now need to redefine what a true relationship looks like. Wisdom urges people to watch out for warning signs such as Control, Manipulation and intimidation, these are the warning signs that he deems to be at the centre of what he calls a Jezebelic situation, which is at the centre of most domestic violence cases. For more on relationships, he encourages people to get, Head to Head With Jezebel https://www.amazon.com/ End
