A Better Walker Designed To Combat Chronic Pain

LOVELAND, Colo. - Feb. 3, 2020 - PRLog -- Jack VanAusdall, a medical massage therapist and inventor, noticed his senior and disabled patients that rely on walkers all suffer from chronic neck, back, hand and wrist pain. Determined to help his patients, VanAusdall identified the root of the problem – posture associated with using traditional walkers. Through a multi-year, iterative design process, and after several prototypes and patents, VanAusdall created A Better Walker^TM. A Better Walker^TM is an innovative, upright supportive walking device specifically created to decrease pain by improving posture and gait. It is designed to alleviate common problems experienced by patients using traditional walkers including neck and lower back pain, and hand and wrist soreness.

According to VanAusdall, several large corporations have approached him about partnering or buying his patents, but VanAusdall has refused these offers because of the inflated price corporations want to charge for the newly designed walker. "People with limited income can't afford expensive devices. Making a product that improves quality of life at an affordable price is my main goal," says VanAusdall. Because of his altruistic motivations, VanAusdall has turned to the popular crowdsourcing platform Kickstarter to fund the initial production of A Better Walker^TM.

A Better Walker^TM has quite a following on Facebook with over 80,000 page likes, and now thru Kickstarter, VanAusdall is asking for support to get the product to market. The Kickstarter campaign ends on February 24, 2020 and is an "all or nothing" chance for funding.
