BASINGSTOKE, U.K. - Jan. 29, 2020 - PRLog -- Cultural break specialist, Travel for the Arts, has launched its Spring, Summer & Autumn 2020 brochure revealing four new destinations – Göttingen in Germany, Brno in the Czech Republic,  Figueres in northern Spain and Stuttgart in southern Germany.

As is the case with all Travel for the Arts holidays, packages include premium tickets to  performances featuring some of the finest singers in the world of opera and classical music including Karita Matilla, Juan Diego Flórez and Jonas Kaufmann, to name just some.

Here is a synopsis of three of the new destinations…

Welcome to Stuttgart, 14 May (3 nights from £1795 pp – and no single supplement)

Ballet in Stuttgart has a rich history whose origins go back to the 17th-century court of Württemberg.  The Stuttgart Ballet company was founded by the dancer and choreographer John Cranko in 1961, and today the company is renowned for its exciting and visually arresting style. This exciting new tour offers a stunning new production of Mayerling, designed by Jürgen Rose choreographed by Sir Kenneth Macmillan, plus a collaboration between Stuttgart opera and ballet in Benjamin Britten's intense and atmospheric Death in Venice.

100 Years of Handel in Gottingen, 20 May (4 nights from £1765 pp)

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the highly esteemed Handel Festival in Göttingen and this tour is a true treat for lovers of this great baroque composer. The Festival offers the opportunity to hear some of Handel's rarely performed operas with today's early music stars, notably countertenor Bejun Mehta, soprano Julia Lezhneva and contralto Sonia Prina, under the batons of early music specialists, including the Festival's Artistic Director, Laurence Cummings.

Festival Castell Peralada, 4 August (4 nights from £1865pp)

This Festival of world-class performances takes place in the ancient Castle of Peralada near Figueres, the birthplace of Salvador Dalí. During the day, explore the region with visits to Girona and the attractive coastal town of Cadaqués, whilst in the evening, witness four outstanding singers – Sondra Radvanovsky, Anita Rachvelishvili, Piotr Beczała and Carlos Álvarez – come together for the spectacle of Verdi's Aida.

All tour prices are based on two people sharing a room and include flights, transfers, accommodation, meals as per the itinerary, performances, sightseeing and guides.  Land only prices are also available for those wishing to make their own way to the start of each holiday.

Travel for the Arts can also tailor trips according to personal wishes, organise pre, and post-holiday extensions, plus it can offer quotes for individual, tailor-made trips.
