Black Alumni Ball Returns to the Queen City for a Second Year

Uniting Black Professionals and Influencers for a Night of Elegance and Giving Back.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Nov. 17, 2019 - PRLog -- The Black Alumni Ball is back for a second year in the Queen City! The Black Alumni Ball first made its debut five years ago in Washington, DC and has since hosted thousands of professional African Americans nationwide. Last year, the team made the decision to bring the Ball to Charlotte and with the wildly successful decision, they are pleased to be coming back. On Saturday, November 23, 2019, the Ball will be held at the CenterStage@NoDa located at 2315 N Davidson St. Charlotte, NC from 9 PM-2 AM. The ball will be hosted by The Massive Host King Flexxa, with music by Izzy the DJ and Nique Suave. For LIVE entertainment, The Harvey Cummings Project will be performing.

This formal celebration of Black Excellence was co-created by Jonathan King who is excited about the growing success of the event over the years and the people who have decided to partner with support of this event. "We are so excited to be bringing the Black Alumni Ball back to the Queen City! Charlotte is full of dynamic individuals and a growing demographic so we knew this would be an ideal location and look forward to continuing to return," King stated." Last year, the Inaugural Black Alumni Ball Influencer Class was introduced and 15 Charlotte Influencers were highlighted. This year, 10 more will be added to the growing class. The Influencers are as follows: Kendra Logan (Owner of Ardnek Success Consulting), Juan Lascano (Education Consultant), Latesha Byrd (Certified Career & Life Coach), Kevin Pleasants, Jr. (Brand Strategist & Creative Director), Dominique Clark (Relationship Expert & Entertainment Journalist), Jerome Myers (Real Estate & Financial Advocacy Advisor), Cory K. Bennett (Non Profit Professional & Social Entrepreneur), Lorri Lofton (Marketing & Events Professional), Kyle S. King (CEO, The Shine Institute) and Ohavia Phillips (Media Personality).

The Black Alumni Ball is an annual event whose mission is to bring black alumni from all universities throughout the nation, including both PWI's (Predominantly White Institutions) and HBCU's (Historically Black Colleges and Universities), for a night of sophistication, style, and fun. Founders and contributors are excited to again give back to the Charlotte community and will provide a check to a local charity that will be announced on November 23rd.
