Quids in For Care Home Charity Fundraiser

BURTON ON TRENT, U.K. - Nov. 4, 2019 - PRLog -- Opening their doors to family and friends, and the local community, care staff organised a coffee afternoon where donations of homemade cakes, jams and pickles were on sale and raffled to raise funds for the charity.

After a very busy day, and a sell out of goods, all proceeds received from the sale of goods and the raffle came to the grand total of five hundred pounds, which will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Kathy Cleaver, registered manager at Hoar Cross Nursing and Care Home says: "I have to say a very big thank you to Alice Roberts and Margaret Rowe who organised the whole event. The total figure of £500.00 is a huge achievement. We couldn't be happier, we're very pleased to be able to contribute such a figure to the cancer support charity to help them support the people that need it the most.
