Alan Cicchetti, Executive Director of Brokers Compliance Group, retires from Lenders Compliance Group

Lenders Compliance Group announces the retirement of Alan Cicchetti from Brokers Compliance Group and Lenders Compliance Group, the nation's first full-service compliance firm.

MERRICK, N.Y. - Sept. 27, 2019 - PRLog -- Lenders Compliance Group (LCG), the nationwide compliance firm, today announces that Alan Cicchetti is retiring on September 30, 2019 from his positions as Executive Director of Brokers Compliance Group and Director of Agency Relations of Lenders Compliance Group.

Alan's background in the industry is hands-on and practical. Since 1973, he has held senior management positions in large bank and non-bank companies, including Regional Branch Management and Mortgage Production positions with Hartford National Bank/Shawmut Mortgage Company, and Centerbank Mortgage Company. Mr. Cicchetti also served as an Executive Assistant in the Office of the CT State Treasurer, where, among his responsibilities, he represented the Treasurer on the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority and served as Chairman of the Mortgage Committee. He has also been active in many industry associations.

Before joining Lenders Compliance Group in 2012, he served as Deputy Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Banking from 1999 to 2011. During that time, he also was the Acting Director of the Consumer Credit Division. In that role, his responsibilities included regulation, examination, licensing, and enforcement activities relating to non-depository licensees, including mortgage brokers, lenders, originators, check cashers, money transmitters, debt adjusters and negotiators, consumer collection agencies and others. Alan created and introduced proposed legislative changes for approval by the Commissioner and submission to the legislature for passage and enactment.

Alan Cicchetti has nearly 40 years of broad-based experience as a regulator and banking professional in mortgage banking and retail branch banking management. Before joining Lenders Compliance Group and Brokers Compliance Group in 2012, he was the Deputy Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Banking and the Acting Director of the Consumer Credit Division, Connecticut Department of Banking, where he administered banking regulations, examinations, licensing and enforcement activities of non-depository licensees, including substantial work with mortgage brokers and lenders. Mr. Cicchetti also was formerly the Co-Chair of Regulations and Policy Committee of Connecticut's Subprime Lending Task Force. He has also been Adjunct Faculty at the University of Hartford, Barney School of Business. Mr. Cicchetti holds a BS from Bryant University and an MBA from the University of Connecticut.
