Corey Bethea took over the game pouring in 18pts, 2stls and 2 rebs. Ak chipped in 18pts, 6assts, 5rebs, and a blk. Jake Royal led Drunk Monkey with 20pts 3rebs 2assts however it wasn't enough & with their first loss, fall to 2-1 for the season. Game 2: Noble Nine (49) def Free Agents (41) A much needed win for Noble Nine, Ant led with 10pts and the entire team chipped in. . Free Agents wasted no time showing why they are the worst ranked team, & alhough Lacy led Free Agents with 16pts, 6rebs, 2stls, and Eugene Ahmad 12pts 14rebs 1stl and 1blk, it wasn't enough. Game 3: B.E.S.T Squad (58) def Tigers (48) B.E.S.T SQUAD defeated Tigers led by Howard Gibson with 18pts 2stls 1blk, & 2assts. New York chipped in 14pts 2stls 2blks & 2assts. Tigers, were overwhelmed by the physical play of BEST Eric Cotton was involved in offense early & the Tigers fed Kendal Wisher the ball as he abused Timon Cartwright for a few plays. But in the end, BEST were better, closing out the game. TJ led the Tigers with 10pts, 3assts. Game 4: Hard Work (39) def CDK (36) Hard Work pulled out the win in a low scoring 39-36 victory. Hard Work was led by Andre Woodlin with 15pts, doing most damage in the 4th Qtr. Maurice Myers added 9pts and tapped boards. Vernon and Reece made season debuts and played well. CDK just can't get right. They were led by Mar, with 11pts, who might need to promoted to a starter from now on. Game 5: Chester (43) def Clay City (30) Game of the week was the Ray Strickland Show who led Chester with 20pts, 3 stls, 3 assts, & boards. He intimidated the defense. Bruce Caple chipped in 8pts, 11rebs, 2stls, 1blk and great lockdown defense. Chester allowed nothing in the paint. Clay City looked weak and played with no heart. Chester go undefeated so far and look like the real deal. Game 6: Hall Law (46) def Playground Legends (33) Hall Law looked fluent on offense, and played unselfish ball. Cooley led Hall Law with 13pts 6rebs and 2 assts. Tone Wash contributed 11pts, 9rebs. Caheem Broadus led PGL with 11pts and Ricky should've never came out the game. PGL needs some youth on the team ASAP. It's a man to man league, you cannot press, you cannot play zone. Hall Law remain undefeated but will be tested next week.
