By: Joyology Pat Armitstead, founder of Joyology who is living her purpose and her Y, has been announced as a finalist for Most Inspirational at this year's YAwards 3 September, 2019 – Pat Armitstead, from Brisbane , who founded Joyology and is the Worlds First Joyologist has been nominated and named as a finalist in this year's YAwards. Created by Australia's leading women's empowerment magazine YMag®, the YAwards aims to celebrates, encourages and recognise successful and aspiring women in business across Australia from industry leaders to young start-ups. YMag®'s CEO & Founder Shar Moore is passionate about providing opportunities for women living their Y to be showcased and profiled nationally in Australia and the YAwards is another medium for achieving this. Pat said she was excited to be named a finalist in the Most Inspirational category. She says "I gave a whoop of joy, and was just so excited. I so appreciate being nominated. You see I have just completed an amazing project delivering a 15 month Mental Health program to 450 leaders in a company with 26,000 staff. This project was ground breaking creating many shifts and changes for participants. I have been delivering programs for 20 years bringing joy where it seems there was none! Given the incidence of depression, anxiety and suicide I am excited to be profiled like this so we can raise more awareness" Shar Moore said she has been overwhelmed by the response to this year's awards. "Nothing gives me greater joy than hearing stories of passionate and determined women who are forging ahead for future generations," "These are women who are empowered to go out and do what they love and so we want to give them the recognition that they so rightly deserve." There are eight categories plus two overall awards decided by judges – these are based on submissions. Winners will be announced during a two-day YFactor Experience at the Hilton Gold Coast. A gala dinner will be held on Saturday, September 28. Three awards will be presented per category – Bronze, Silver and Gold. The winners will share in $5,000 worth of prizes.
