BASINGSTOKE, U.K. - Sept. 2, 2019 - PRLog -- At 4,167m (13,671 ft), Mount Toubkal, located in the Toubkal National Park in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco (39 miles south of Marrakech) is the highest peak in North Africa, yet it can be hiked with no technical equipment by regular hill walkers with a good level of fitness.

UK operator Specialist Morocco has a week-long trip providing a chance to conquer the mountain, which can be enjoyed by couples or small groups.

After a night at Riad Africa in Marrakech, the six-day trek culminates with reaching the peak on day seven, before descending to the foothills of the Atlas Mountains via Imlil, for a hot shower, a hearty meal and a great night's sleep at Riad Africa's sister property, Kasbah Africa (https://www.kasbahafrica.com/).  After breakfast the following morning, transfer by private taxi back to Marrakech.

The holiday can start on any day and costs from £599 per person, based on two people sharing a room, with prices descending for larger groups.

This includes one night in Riad Africa in Marrakech (or similar), one night in a Berber gite, four nights' camping on the trek, a night in Kasbah Africa and most meals.

The price also includes a guide, support crew (including a cook) and all camping equipment.

• The best 60p (10 dirhams) you will ever spend:  A bottle of mountain stream-chilled lemonade bought from a path-side Berber trader four hours into the trek

• The best 72p (12 dirhams) you will ever spend:  for a hot shower at the mountain refuge at the end of a five-hour walk

The best £2.41 (40 dirhams) you will ever spend: for a shave at a barber's in the Marrakech Medina after returning from the mountains

• Absolutely priceless:  the views of the High Atlas towards the Sahara Desert from the Summit of Toubkal at 4167m at the end of the trek (and the satisfaction of conquering the mountain!)
