AMBUCS Kicks Off 54th Year of Adaptive Adult Bowling League

The Savannah AMBUCS celebrates 54 years of providing an adaptive bowling league to adults who have different abilities.

SAVANNAH, Ga. - Aug. 27, 2019 - PRLog -- Over 120 adults who have different abilities will participate in the 2019/2020 season of bowling.  The adaptive adult bowling league was started in 1965 and has since served over 1,000 Savannah residents.

The bowling league runs every Saturday during the months of September through May.
To participants, this league not only provides the ability to show off their bowling skills but affords them opportunities for physical exercise and socialization.  Many life skills are learned and reinforced through repitition during their time at the bowling alley.

The season kick-off begins at 9AM on Saturday, September 7th.
Bowlers will be presented with their league shirts and will celebrate another season of 'Nothing but Strykes'.

About AMBUCS: Savannah AMBUCS is a 501c3 organization who serves people with different abilities.  The organization creates opportunities to aid peole in increasing their mobility and independence.  Currently the Savannah AMBUCS funds over 50+ AMTRYKES per year, hosts an adaptive adult bowling league and provides sponsorships to graduate level students in occupational, physical or speech therapy degree programs.
