PODS® Las Vegas and iHeart Media go back to school to help those in need

By: PODS Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS - Aug. 5, 2019 - PRLog -- As students gear up for the school year ahead, Project 150 is working to ensure homeless students have the tools they need to succeed. To assist them in their efforts, PODS® Las Vegas is joining forces with iHeart Media Las Vegas and Walmart to collect non-perishable food items to help students focus on school.

From Aug. 5- Sept. 13, residents will be encouraged to donate $10 in non-perishable food items at Walmart located on the corner of Blue Diamond Road and Rainbow Blvd., where they will be collected and stored in the onsite PODS container. The PODS container will then be transported to Project 150 where they will be handed out to homeless students.

Project 150 was organized to help homeless students continue to be successful in school and in life. They currently serve 6,000 high school students in 58 high schools in Southern Nevada and 20 high schools in Reno.

"As a community, it is our responsibility to help build up the next generation, especially students who are in need," says Dave Allen Boyd IV, Territory Manager for PODS® Las Vegas. "We're honored to help collect these donations so that these students can focus on their studies and continue to be successful."
