Wizard World Teams With Book 'Em On Book Donation Program In Pittsburgh

Wizard World has teamed with Book 'Em on a book donation program at the upcoming Wizard World Pittsburgh event next weekend. Fans bringing two books to the Special Guest Registration desk will receive a free pre-autographed celebrity photo.

PITTSBURGH - July 17, 2019 - PRLog -- Wizard World is proud to team with Book 'Em, the all-volunteer, non-profit organization that sends free educational books and quality reading material to prisoners and prison libraries in Pennsylvania. Wizard World is asking fans to bring graphic novels, comics, puzzle books, manga, history, arts/crafts/hobbies, horror, or any other similar reading materials to Wizard World Pittsburgh, July 26-28 at David L. Lawrence Convention Center and leave them in a specially marked donation receptacle near the Special Guest Registration desk.

As a Thank You, fans who donate two or more items to Book 'Em during Wizard World Pittsburgh will receive a free pre-autographed celebrity photo from a selection of previous Wizard World guests. These photographs are available to fans on a first-come, first-served basis while supply lasts, one per family donation per day, at the full discretion of Wizard World.

Wizard World Pittsburgh will also include non-stop live entertainment, gaming, exclusive Q&A sessions with select celebrities and autographs/photo ops with top stars such as Zachary Levi (Shazam!, Thor), the "Charmed" duo of Holly Marie Combs and Brian Krause, Jewel Staite ("Firefly," Serenity) Samm Levine ("Freaks and Geeks," "Undeclared"), Jason Faunt (Power Rangers Time Force), Thomas Ian Nicholas (Rookie of the Year, American Pie), pro wrestling legend Tommy Dreamer and more, along with Wizard World's Master of Ceremonies, Kato Kaelin.

Wizard World events bring together thousands of fans of all ages to celebrate the best in pop culture: movies, television, gaming, live entertainment, comics, sci-fi, graphic novels, toys, original art, collectibles, contests and more. The seventh event scheduled on the 2019 Wizard World calendar, Pittsburgh show hours are Friday, July 26, 4-9 p.m.; Saturday, July 27, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sunday, July 28, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Kids 10 and under are admitted free with paid adult.

Wizard World Pittsburgh is also the place for cosplay, with fans young and old showing off their best costumes throughout the event. Fans dressed as every imaginable character – and some never before dreamed – will roam the convention floor and participate in the famed Wizard World Costume Contest on Saturday evening.
