Announcing 'The Hidden Spa' of the New Forest
By: New Forest Escapes
Located at Milford-on-Sea on the southern tip of the forest, The Hidden Spa – which has never been available for hire before now – sleeps four people in two bedrooms. Rooms throughout are chic, boutique and individually designed, and the pool and spa wouldn't look out of place in the pages of Vogue.
Unusually for a self-catering property, a healthy breakfast – consisting of items including granola, muesli, smoked salmon, Italian meats, yogurts and smoothies – is provided every morning by the owners, who will even take care of the washing up once the dishes have been delivered to them via the food lift.
The manicured garden surrounds a small lake – and there is also a 14m swimming pool which overlooks the forest; the long beaches, restaurants and bars at Milford on Sea are an easy ten-minute woodland walk.
For those wishing to escape for a coffee or a snooze, there is an open-fronted summer house with two chairs and a table.
The spa, which guests have exclusive use of until 8pm each day, features a seven-seater hydro-pool with 60 jets, which is designed to sooth the back, neck and legs (it is not designed to be used as a hot tub or jacuzzi). Fresh water is used for new arrivals.
Also with forest views – the spa has been designed so that it is partly underground, to provide quests with privacy and space.
There is also a small gym – with a range of exercise machines and free weights – steam room and rain shower and changing room, plus all the fluffy towels, robes, slippers and glossy magazines that you'd expect to find in the spa of a five-star hotel.
Hidden Spa costs from £350 or £450 per night depending on occupancy (approx. £112 pp when four people share). Both short breaks and longer stays are available.
