GAINESVILLE, Fla. - July 5, 2019 - PRLog -- The 2018 Farm Bill did far more than pry open the sticky lid of the once-criminalized industrial hemp farming. It helped launch an action hub that is becoming a powerbroker for farmers, manufacturers, retailers, and investors: The Florida Sustainable Agriculture Cooperative. The newly launched organization is a network of diverse, interdependent companies, developing sustainable agriculture sensibly—focusing on alternative commodities, such as industrial hemp, kenaf, and bamboo—to better meet 21st century demands while helping return the earth to a healthier state.
The Florida Sustainable Agriculture Cooperative is set on redefining how we think, what we value, and how we can grow a global Economic Democracy with a strong eco-responsibility. That begins by providing Cooperative members with technical know-how, proprietary tools, equipment, and educational materials to ready them for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
In addition, the Florida Sustainable Agriculture Cooperative is committed to forging industry best practices, industry research, and policy and institutional changes at local, national, international levels—as well as designing new solutions to stimulate bioremediation, target algae-crisis issues, and supply durable environmentally sound housing infrastructures to meet the future population explosion.

Per Harrell, the CBD market is only a fraction of the hemp industry's potential. Hemp—as well as kenaf and bamboo—regenerates the soil, pumps oxygen back into the environment, leads to cleaner water, ensures a healthier agricultural sector, and secures a socio-economic future for farmers pursuing a cash crop.
All three alternative commodities deliver a myriad of product potential:
•    Hemp stalks, which are currently being left after harvesting, can be used for construction, manufacturing, fiber, carpeting, webbing, twine, rope, cosmetics, paint, car parts, boats, furniture, electronics—and as a nontoxic, renewable replacement for petrochemical plastics, which are destroying our ecosystems.
