AELTC partners up with Aircharge to roll out wireless charging at The Championship, Wimbledon

The wireless charging points are available directly at selected tables and counters in the Player's lounge and Competitor's restaurant located in the Millennium Building and in the Competitor's restaurant in the Aorangi Pavilion. To overcome the lack of direct access to mains power in the venues, Aircharge provided its unique battery powered solution, bringing wireless charging where needed the most. Each of the long-lasting battery pucks installed can guarantee 8 full charging cycles from 0-100% on an average smartphone.

In addition to charging, QR code integration at point of charge will allow users to receive additional services directly on their mobile phones, including Wi-Fi connectivity, menu ordering and accessing the latest information on the tournament.

Via data connectivity, The All England Lawn Tennis Club will also have real-time access to utilisation statistics, making it possible to map traffic and dwell-time and monitor space usage.
