OAK PARK, Ill. - June 19, 2019 - PRLog -- Midwest-based touring singer/songwriter Jenny Bienemann releases her first-ever photograph and haiku project: "Haiku Milieu: Photographs and Haiku For You, Wherever You Are" in book, audiobook, and soundtrack formats.

The book, released in December 2018 and currently available on Amazon.com, completely sold out in its first run and tripled its initial sales estimates.

The Release Concert celebrates the Haiku Milieu book, soundtrack and audiobook, and features award-winning artist Jenny Bienemann and 20 outstanding local singer/songwriters sharing songs inspired by the photo and haiku.

"Restoring a sense of wonder in the world by finding the extraordinary in the everyday is my mission as an artist," says Bienemann.

Bienemann, a veteran singer/songwriter with five critically acclaimed albums ventures into new territory with the Haiku Milieu photos and audiobook.

Bienemann's photos bring a new visual artistic layer to her music and writing. While the typical audiobook shares just the words of the book, the "Haiku Milieu" audiobook invites the listener to join Bienemann in the creative process, summoning their own images as the photo is described, encountering the haiku from the lens of their own imagination, and communing with her original music remixed by Mikhail Fiksel, aka DJ White Russian.

The talented singer/songwriters who wrote and will perform an original song based on a photo and haiku from Haiku Milieu include: Naomi Ashley, Louis Bardales, Robin Bienemann, Jake Davis, Robinlee Garber, Kathy Greenholt, Rebecca Jasso, Peter Joly, Ron Lazzeretti, Ian Leith, Jimm McIver, Shelley Miller, Tom Orland, Al Rose, Patti Shaffner, Cheryl Tomblin, Rick Vines, Jodi Walker, Lindsay Weinberg, Emily White and more!

Seating for the concert is limited. Tickets are $10.  Reserve tables at www.uncommonground.com.

Haiku Milieu was supported in part by a generous grant from the Illinois Arts Council.
