| Busting Pet Behavior & Pet Training Myths:Two Nationally Renowned Michigan Board Certified Veterinarian Behaviorists Speak at Detroit's 2019 Science of Animal Behavior Conference
Metro-Detroit's own Dr. Theresa L. DePorter, BSc, DVM, MRCVS, DECAWBM, DACVB and Lansing's Dr. Marie Hopfensperger, DVM, DACVB, Michigan's two Board-Certified Veterinarian Behaviorists, lead the roster of expert speakers. This conference incorporates several firsts in Michigan veterinary education: • two nationally-recognized veterinary behaviorists speak together in the same forum • separate educational tracks for canine and feline behavior and training • separate educational tracks for veterinary professionals, trainers, rescue & shelter workers and the general public Katelin Thomas, BA, ACDBC, CPDT-KA, K9 Turbo Training Owner & Behavior Advocate explains: "We firmly believe that everyone, from the most-seasoned veterinary professional to the first-time pet owner, should be knowledgeable about pet behavior.
