PRINCETON, N.J. - May 30, 2019 - PRLog -- ESPN "Sports Reporters" Bob Ryan and '69 New York Mets star and bestselling author Art Shamsky in conversation with New Jersey sports journalist Bill Glovin is the "leadoff" program for Morven Museum & Garden's newest exhibition New Jersey Baseball: From the Cradle to the Major Leagues 1855–1915  on Thursday, June 13, at 7:30 p.m. at 55 Stockton Street in Princeton, New Jersey. Tickets are $20 for the public; $15 for Friends of Morven.  Copies of Mr. Shamsky's After the Miracle will be available for purchase and signing following the lecture.

"Morven is thrilled to be hosting what is shaping up to be a hot ticket for baseball fans," Executive Director Jill Barry said recently.

In addition to the 7:30 p.m. public lecture with q&a, tickets to a special private reception with the speakers in Morven's museum galleries starting at 5:45 p.m are available.  This $100 per person event supports Morven's Education programs and includes wine, baseball themed refreshments, priority seating at the 7:30 p.m. lecture, and a copy of the exhibition's companion book  A Cradle of the National Pastime: New Jersey Baseball, 1855-1880 by baseball historian and guest curator John Zinn.
