Dedication

As a Memory from My Childhood
This poetry book targets young children and adolescents, however, I
shall be most pleased if you, readers of other ages, suggest it for reading
to the young child and teenage adolescent still inherent in you. The
author will reach his goal if a metamorphosis rotation occurs during the
reading of the book. Either way, please bear in mind the poem "If" by
the English Nobel Laureate Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936) to whom I
dedicate this poetry book as a memory from my childhood. It was
1962, and I was only 10 years old when I bought Rudyard Kipling's The
Jungle Book at the bookstore in my tourist hometown of Kruja (Albania),
a book that I still keep as one of the first settlers of my library.
Thank you!
Hamdi Meça

I Speak with My Soul

O soul
Let the buds of the air and the drops of the rain
Always spread
My human hymn
O soul, I love God reigning in heavens above
More than my mother and my father
O soul, I love God sheltering in my mind
More than my grandparents and the rest of mankind
O soul, I love God keeping me alive
More than my children who sanctify my life
O soul, I love God standing beyond comparison
More than myself and all kinds of inspiration
O soul, I love God in front of whom I bow
More than women who give birth even to the flowers
O soul, I love God seating on His throne over there
More than the soil that we call our homeland
I love God giving me everything
More than the two worlds, this and the one to come
I love God fairly
More than all the religions, angels, and saints
No one should consider himself neglected, for I love God
We belong to God, and His are all sorts of life
O soul
Let God accept
What I feel and put to paper
I want neither more nor less than that
