Slide Into Summer Beach Bash Donates to Big Brothers Big Sisters

CORNELIUS, N.C. - May 9, 2019 - PRLog -- Freedom Boat Club of Lake Norman and Lake Wylie recently co-hosted their Seven-Year Anniversary "Slide Into Summer" Tailgate Party at their Waterstreet Seaport Marina location in Cornelius on May 4th.  The annual event, which raises awareness and money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Carolina's Charlotte Chapter, was co-hosted with Douglas Marion of Advanced Wealth Strategies.

"Despite the inclement weather and having to shut down a few hours early, we had more than 150 people in attendance to enjoy free BBQ and beverages, live musical entertainment, raffles and inflatables," said Josh Greenwald, Marketing Director of Freedom Boat Club.  "We raised more than $700 for our charity, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Carolina's Charlotte Chapter," added Douglas Marion.  "Our organization is all about giving back in our community and we especially value the opportunity to positively impact the lives of young people and introduce them to the boating lifestyle," says Jeff Weir, co-owner of Freedom Boat Club Lake Norman-Lake Wylie.
