Disaster Theory Preps for The Dying Side Of Life

The band Disaster Theory is getting ready for the release of their debut album

PITTSBURGH - May 3, 2019 - PRLog -- After months in the studio, the band Disaster Theory is preparing to release their debut album "Dying Side Of Life" on May 17, 2019.

According to the band's front man Mark Thomas, "The album is a culmination of months of work.  Writing and recording, mixing and mastering can be a drawn out process."

After listening to the tracks on Dying Side Of Life, it is clear that it is not just a culmination of months of work, but seemingly a lifetime of anger and emotion as well.

With tracks such as I've Fallen Down, When It Turns On You, and Let It Rain, Thomas' lyrics seem to be a response to life experiences.  It makes for a great listen.

"Hyperdrive," the first single from the album, has already spent two weeks on the radio to promote the release of the album and is approaching a likely three weeks.  The band has promised to release a second single if Hyperdrive gets a third week of airplay.

In the midst of promoting the new album, it seems Thomas is not done offending people however.  Just weeks before the album release, Thomas has released album art for the single "I'm Your God."  The artwork has already offended many, as it depicts Thomas as a crucified Christ figure with crowds clambering for selfies and photos around him.

When asked about the imagery, Thomas said "You will always offend someone these days.  There is no way to go through life in today's society without offending someone. There is meaning behind the artwork however and it's simply not as offensive as people perceive it to be.  That was intentional however.  No one pays attention to the bland.  You have to get their attention.  If they really look at the artwork however, there are hidden clues that give the piece's meaning."

Asked if he could give us some of the clues, he said "That's not for me to spell out to the masses.  They're there, buried in the artwork itself.  I would hate to give away the meaning before it has had a chance to piss everyone off."
