Charity League holds Fundraiser

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - March 6, 2019 - PRLog -- Charity League is holding their annual fundraiser on Thursday, March 21st, 2019 at Myers Park Country Club. This is their 38th annual event to raise money for the children of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County.

The theme for this year's fundraiser is "Springtime in Paris." Donations include trips from World Travel Club 365, Bradford Photos and International Designer Luis Machicao. Simon Malls of Southpark is sponsoring the informal fashion show coordinated by personal shopper Suzanne Libraind.  Generous donations were also made by Bedside Manor, Persian Rugs and Antiques and Perry's Diamond & Estate Jewelry. 100% of profits made by Charity League at the fundraiser will go to the local needy children.

Charity League is a women's philanthropic organization, founded in 1921, actively committed to providing resources and programs to benefit children.  the organization is 100% volunteers. A new vision statement was recently created that Charity League will impact the lives of Charlotte children by inspiring them to bridge the opportunity gap and achieve a positive future through education and total wellness.

The new vision will be implemented with a signature project of Closets in CMS Schools, primarily Title 1 schools. These closets will provide a place to store uniforms, donate new clothing, hygiene items and educational supplies.
