Blessings Can Happen at the Worst of Times – How This Family Gave with an Open Heart

THE WOODLANDS, Texas - March 4, 2019 - PRLog -- Greg Simmons, owner of Black and White Construction, has been honored by local residents Thomas and Holly Clarks for their immense generosity. The couple from Houston has dedicated a gift of a new life to the Civil Family of Roseaux, in Grandeanse, Haiti.

During the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey that shook residents in 2018, many families were forced to evacuate because of the damage created by the severe. Greg and his team amidst a local emergency in their home town quickly got to work within their local community. Their objective – help out as many people as possible with the clean-up followed by the rebuilding of their homes. Among the families that worked with Black And White Construction were Thomas and Holly.

Thomas and Holly were blessed with a newly remodeled home that they were able to move into shortly (five months) after Hurricane Harvey. Thomas in his own words felt "blessed" to have hired the services of Black and White Construction. As a way to pay it forward, the couple dedicated a home built for a family that suffered at the hands of other natural disasters in Haiti.

Greg Simmons fondly recalls the experience of working with Thomas and Holly Clarks – "They were fantastic customers and a real pleasure for all of my team to work with.  They were both gracious in giving us their trust and confidence to rebuild their beautiful home". Looking back, the terrible floods have taught us an important lesson – that it's hard to ignore the true blessings that hardships bring out in all the great neighbors that we live near.

Greg feels deeply indebted to Tom and Holly for their wonderful gesture - "We try and make a positive impact on the environment and our customers at every opportunity we can and to seeing how that comes through someone in such a meaningful way puts us in awe.
