Corruption And Scandals Are At An All Time High In Zambia, Confirms SC Justice's Testimony

LUSAKA, Zambia - Feb. 12, 2019 - PRLog -- Justice Mumba Malila, an honourable judge from the Supreme Court Zambia recently testified in the court. In his testimony, he opened up about large-scale corruption and dishonest practices in Zambia. One of the important revelation which was given in the testimony was related to Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, one of the most successful and celebrated businessman in Zambia. Dr. Rajan Mahtani is credited with several successful businesses in Zambia as well as outside. Some of these include Mahtani Group of Companies, Finsbury Investment and Finance Bank Zambia. He is also often conspired against by illegal and unethical forces targeting his image and honest reputation. While these conspiracies are well known, the recent testimony by the Supreme Court Zambia Justice gave a sneak-peak into the level of corruption and the extent to which these conspiracies can go for personal profits of few powerful yet corrupt individuals.

In his testimony, the judge said that the case of 2012 against Dr. Rajan Mahtani was unjustified as it was motivated by several political undertones. He also stated that the case was against the interests of the general policies. Justice Mumba Malila was the Attorney General during that time and he made several requests to the tribunal to make the case null and void. However, no such actions were taken during that time and the final judgement was given against Dr. Mahtani's claims. This clearly stated that the decision making was influenced by external forces.

As per the testimony by the Supreme Court of Zambia, "It appears in all probability to have political undertones and at best intended to aid the civil action. In terms of the proviso to Article 56 (7) of the Constitution, I suggest (direct) that this prosecution be discontinued on public policy consideration."
