Former Reality TV Star Chris Manzo Understands the Power of Networking

NEW YORK - Jan. 22, 2019 - PRLog -- Chris Manzo became a familiar TV figure by way of The Real Housewives of New Jersey and the subsequent spin-off show Manzo'd with Children. But his path to TV stardom was the result of essentially, nothing.

"We took no talent really to get there, so there's nothing that we were able to take advantage of," Manzo said on the podcast Conversation with Connors.

Manzo had the opportunity to meet individuals like Jay-Z, party with the New York Giants after winning the Super Bowl, and visit the Playboy mansion.

"We have zero talent in the sense of that's what got us to where we are. The right people walked into the right hair salon and met my mom and that's how the show started."

But now all of that is over. Manzo has to navigate his way through life like any other ordinary person. And rather than going from 15 minutes of fame to a lifetime of agony, through the relationships he's been able to build and maintain, he has been able to remain successful following his days on TV.

Take for example, Manzo's relationship with Markus Kuhn. Football fans may know Kuhn as a former member of the New York Giants. However, Manzo has a relationship with him that goes well beyond football.

"He's a really funny, really smart guy that transcends the thing you know him for," Manzo told Adam Connors. "There is not an arena you can't put him in, no pun intended, with the football thing, where he can't hold his own. If you say, oh, 'I want to talk politics,' he'll do it. 'I want to talk fart jokes and standup comedy. Let's do that too.'"

Manzo is excited to find the challenges ahead and wants to tackle them head on.

"But the fact that I go to work makes me feel a little better about what I'm doing. You know what I mean? I just want to become more of an adult."

Fortunately, during the course of his conversation with Connors, he reached an epiphany that can help him attain continued success.

"Referrals are just really relationships," Manzo said.
