-- Benjamin Hey!, the contemporary R&B/Urban Pop recording artist, has officially released his latest single..."Safe Word" on #musicmonday
"Safe Word" is a sexually driven R&B groove that has island vibes written all over it.
It was produced by LA based phenom, Jonny On The Rocks & Benjamin Hey! (Laverne Cox - Beat For The Gods).
The video was shot in the Sunken Forest of Fire Island, NY by New York based photographer/
director Manufoto. The beach backdrop is reminiscent of Madonna's "Cherish" & Janet's "Love Will Never Do" In the visual, Benjamin Hey! is an animal on the prowl with three letters on his mind. The song is very 50 Shades of Grey...meant to make the viewer heat up just a little.
"Safe Word" has vocal stylings similar to Usher & Rihanna and would be a great addition to Urban Rhythmic formats. It has a driving bass synth that supports catchy lyrics and vocals that are right in the pocket. It's very addictive and lingers in the brain like an ear worm.
"Safe Word" will be followed up by the release of Benjamin Hey!'s anticipated LAX album (release date 1-11-19). The video is now available on YouTube. It is also available for streaming/download on all digital formats including Spotify/AppleMusic/
Deezer and others.
2018 has been an eventful year for the singer/songwriter. His social media numbers have been exploding. He has made an appearance at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards in New York City. However, the biggest accomplishment of his music career, is his contribution to Emmy Award winning actress/producer/
activist Laverne Cox's debut single titled, "Beat For The Gods." which hit the Billboard Dance/Club chart. 2019 is shaping up to be a successful one for this emerging artist. Get on board!http://www.benjaminhey.com
