Canada sees potentially record breaking Express Entry Draw this week

HYDERABAD, India - Dec. 1, 2018 - PRLog -- he Express Entry draw held on November 28, 2019 has seen 3,900 invitations to apply issued to candidates who are applying for Canada PR visa. This brings the total number of ITAs issued to 82,000. The minimum threshold for CRS was set at 445, which was a decline of four points as compared to the previous draw with a minimum CRS of 449. The immigration authority for Canada, IRCC is on the verge of breaking yet another record as it needs to issue a little over 4000 Invitations in order to surpass the record of 2017 for immigration to Canada. With one more Express Entry draw expected in December, it remains to be seen whether this record can be broken. Whether or not this record is broken, it is clear from the above figures that Canada remains committed to bringing in more immigrants to Canada

The IRCC holds two Express Entry draws each month, and if past trends are anything to go by it seems highly likely that it will surpass its record of 86023 ITAS issued in 2017. The latest round of invitations were issued on the basis of the tie-break rule, with the date and timestamp being considered as 22^nd October 2018, which means that all the applicants who scored equal to or more than 445 in their CRS and submitted their application before the stipulated time and date would have been issued an ITA in the current draw which was held in less than a fortnight after the previous draw.

The continuing trend of lowering of minimum CRS and increase in the number of ITAs issued is in keeping with the federal government's plan to increase immigration to Canada to keep up with the latest Express Entry draw which was held on the 28^th of November has seen the number of ITAs issued surpass the total no of ITAs issued in the year 2017, which had in itself set a record for the highest number of invitations at 86,023.

The latest draw once again highlights the commitment of the federal government in Canada towards increasing the number of people who hold a Canada PR visa and contribute effectively to the Canadian economy. The country is facing a serious shortage of labor in almost every sector, which explains the reason for Canada's eagerness to roll out the red carpet for the immigrants.
