Having started their creative careers as furniture makers, Joel and Alyse value the time, effort and talent that craftspeople put into each product. "We opened Duke & Lulu's in order to offer exceptional handmade products to customers who also appreciate and understand the value of handcrafted goods," says Joel Knudsen.

Duke & Lulu's carries only cruelty-free products (no animal products) and uses as much recycled and environmentally-friendly packing material as possible. "Being kind to animals and to the environment are important components to being a thoughtful consumer," says Alyse Knudsen.

Joel and Alyse scour the country to find and select makers and products, ensuring only the most unique, beautiful and well made objects make it into their shop. There are no mass produced items in the shop, so each piece may be a little different – but that's the beauty of handcrafted goods.
