Generosity Helps Create A Welcoming Space

ASHFORD, U.K. - Nov. 6, 2018 - PRLog -- Staff from Hilton Nursing Partners got stuck in to the backbreaking work of clearing overgrown weeds and shrubs at Pilgrims Hospices Ashford and dedicated extra time to fundraising for new plants, trees and gardening tools.

Presenting the giant cheque for £282.26 the team can now go ahead and purchase trusty gardening tools and plants to help them make light work of maintaining and creating a beautiful and welcoming entrance to the Hospice.

Gemma Tonkinsmith, learning and development and employee engagement lead at Hilton Nursing Partners says: "The gardening volunteers roll their sleeves up every day offering their time and skills to maintaining and creating beautiful spaces, the least we could do is roll our sleeves up and offer practical help and fundraising to ensure they have the right tools to aid their good work."

Wendy Kelk hospice service manager says: ''Hilton Nursing Partnership have contributed so much, as well as fundraising they spent three days on site working with our gardeners to create a welcoming space at the front entrance of our gardens, this area is right by the front entrance and is the first impression people have of the Hospice so vitally important. We are very appreciative and look forward to planting the new trees and shrubs – thank you for your hard work and support.''
