The Spirit of Winter and Christkindlsmarkt will shine brightly at The Winery at Sovereign Estate

WACONIA, Minn. - Oct. 31, 2018 - PRLog -- The "Spirit of Winter" Festival of Lights presented by The Winery at Sovereign Estate will transform an award-winning Minnesota vineyard in Waconia, MN into a one-of-a-kind winter holiday experience for families and people of all ages. This event will get even bigger in 2018 with the addition of Christkindlsmarkt which will feature holiday vendors offering unique shopping treasures of the winter season. With over 8 miles of LED lighting displayed on 10 acres of a lakeside vineyard, Sovereign Estate will be Minnesota's first agri-tourism attraction powered entirely by the solar energy generated on-site.

Visitors will be able to stroll through the estate grounds with illuminated trees, buildings, trails and synchronized light/music shows. The Spirit of Winter features attractions for children of all ages including holiday trolley ride to the vineyard, live holiday music, live llamas, a life-sized Nativity scene, a play deck for kids, cookies and hot cocoa, a play area for kids, photos with Santa. Of course, there is also award-winning wine for grown ups and adult hot chocolate flavored enhanced your favorite liqueur.

The Spirit of Winter solar-powered holiday light show opens November 21. Closed Thanksgiving Day, the show will run Friday through Sundays, 4:30 pm to 9 pm. Admission is $5 for anyone older than 3 years of age. Transportation tours and groups should contact the winery about special show times on Thursdays.
