RALEIGH, N.C. - Oct. 28, 2018 - PRLog -- Leading social media authority and business consultant Martin Brossman delivered the keynote address at the seventh annual Vance-Granville Community College Small Business Summit for aspiring entrepreneurs, small business owners, and non-profit leaders, among others, on Monday, Oct. 15th.

The theme of this year's VGCC Small Business Summit was "Making Your Dreams a Reality".  The dinner event was held in the Warren County Armory and Convention Center in Warrenton, NC, and was well-attended with more than fifty local participants.

Related to the theme, Brossman's keynote," What is Your Digital First Impression Online and Why Is It Important?"', focused on why a powerful digital presence is essential in today's business environment, and how to create a positive first impression online using free and low-cost platforms. The presentation gave participants tools for enhancing their own reputation and also helping their community.

In an excerpt from his talk, Martin Brossman said: "The online world has changed the way we do business so as business leaders go online, it's important for them to know the best practices and most efficient approaches for stimulating good results.  Yet even more important is recognizing that social media has ushered in a new era in sales & marketing. Today's business environment has evolved.  Businesses that don't keep up will be left behind fast. They need to understand the value of a positive online reputation as well as the cost of having none at all."

Duke Energy was the presenting sponsor for the summit.  Local partners helping the VGCC Small Business Center to organize the event were the Chamber of Commerce of Warren County, the Warren County Economic Development Commission and the Lake Gaston Regional Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center.  Additional sponsors of the summit included the Lake Gaston Gazette-Observer, The Daily Dispatch, The Warren Record, WARR 1520 AM, and WIZS 1450 AM/100.1 FM. Lola G. of Oxford provided beautiful floral table arrangements.

Tanya Weary, Director of the Small Business Center at VGCC, invited Martin Brossman to speak at the event.  Brossman offers other timely keynote addresses ready to deliver to small business summits or professional development events, and he is equipped to simulcast to remote participants.
