Aims to expand the learning programs and adopt advanced teaching methods with innovative tools and techniques

MILPITAS, Calif. - Oct. 24, 2018 - PRLog -- Vision Literacy, a leading 501(c)(3) award winning non-profit literacy organization in Silicon Valley, has joined the Global Giving Tuesday movement, a global day of giving that connects the united power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage charity and to celebrate generosity worldwide.

This year will be Vision Literacy's fourth year to participate in #GivingTuesday and the company has set a $50,000 fundraising goal for the day. This year Vision Literacy's goal is to add new learning programs like Mathematics, Computers, Science, etc. The company is also planning to adopt new innovative techniques and tools to train candidates.

This Giving Tuesday, the organization's goal is to fund learning material; paper, books, binders, picture dictionaries and a weekly customized newspaper especially designed for the learners in the adult literacy program, which would cost more than $20,000. And to improvise on the teaching methods and techniques with the use of innovative tools and techniques which would be the largest expense.

Ms. PAT Lawson North, the Executive Director said, "Giving Tuesday movement kicks off the holiday giving season and inspires people to take collective action to improve their communities, to give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes they believe in and help create a better world. At Vision Literacy, we believe that sharing our talents with others is the most fulfilling way to use them. The need for adult literacy is great in the country and we aim to make an integral contribution in the development of community."
