Two Experienced Caregiving Professionals Bring Home Helpers to Portsmouth Region

Honan has a background in nursing and has worked in in long-term care and short-term rehabilitation, in-home care and as a nursing instructor teaching LNAs. She took some time away from nursing while raising her children, she then founded and owned a retail business for seven years. Several years ago, she returned to her roots in healthcare and went back to nursing. Over the past years she recognized the need in the community for home care. Her passion is to help people remain at home or have the best quality of life wherever they may call home. When an opportunity came along to join Home Helpers, Warf was a perfect choice as a business partner.

Warf has more than 18 years in customer service and inside/outside sales and she has held multiple management positions. She also has more than four years of experience in senior care and was a licensed LNA. She recently earned her PCA certificate. In addition to her professional experience, Warf brings a deep understanding of the importance of professional caregivers to Home Helpers.

"An immediate family member was diagnosed with terminal cancer two months after my wedding. I left my job of 13 years to be her main caregiver and, later, we added hospice. The need for in-home services is a real thing and I understand the true impact having a caregiver can make on families, whether it's full-time care or respite care. I know it's hard to bring in help but bringing in a caregiver can help ease the burden of doing everything yourself. This is better for everyone in the long run," Warf said.
