SAN FRANCISCO - Oct. 11, 2018 - PRLog -- Chris Cassano, CTO and Co-Founder of Deconet (www.deco.network) won ETHSan Francisco, the world's largest Ethereum hackathon, besting a field of over 120 submissions with his novel "SplitterConverter" payment tool.

Deconet is a next generation platform for freelancers, built on the blockchain; its SplitterConverter tool (www.deco.network/splitter) enables cryptocurrency payments to be automatically sent to multiple project contributors' cryptocurrency wallets based on set percentages. Within the Deconet platform, this allows multiple collaborators to participate on projects and get paid automatically. Collaborators can also elect which cryptocurrency to receive based on a conversion powered by the Kyber Network.

"Work is changing; people from all over the world can contribute to a project ad hoc and share in the value they create," said Deconet CEO and Co-Founder David Sneider. "Deconet and our suite of tools like SplittlerConverter help power this brave, new work world."

Cassano was one of 10 winners at ETHSan Francisco where he built the SplitterConverter in a single weekend. The SplitterConverter is part of the larger Deconet roadmap and vision. Deconet is the blockchain infrastructure for the future of work, where distributed teams of skilled freelancers can meet clients, complete work via discrete milestones, and get paid via smart contracts.

"The financial future of freelancers is filled with many more compensation options beyond being paid on an hourly-basis for their efforts," said Cassano. "When creators use Deconet, they can be compensated in a number of different ways, including on the usefulness of their contribution, as well as getting a stake in the projects that are working on relative to the value they provide."

Prior to co-founding Deconet, Cassano was part of the technical team behind Earn.com, which was acquired by Coinbase. He is also the inventor of PiperWallet, the first Bitcoin hardware wallet.
