LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Sept. 18, 2018 - PRLog -- Advanced Solutions Life Sciences is proud to announce and welcome Derek Mathers as the Director of Strategic Accounts. He joins Advanced Solutions Life Sciences with over six years of experience in the healthcare 3D printing industry.

He will be responsible for forging new relationships with healthcare providers, research institutions, medical device and pharmaceutical companies to further democratize access to BioAssemblyBot®, the world's first six-axis 3D bioprinting platform. Mr. Mathers is an accomplished sales executive with extensive knowledge of medical device development and product management.

Mathers recently served as Entrepreneur-in-Residence to GE Ventures and GE Healthcare, focused on evaluating strategic investments in emerging private companies in the 3D printing for healthcare space. He also worked for Worrell, a medical device design firm where he led the global sales consulting team for four years.

Mathers graduated from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management with a degree focused on Marketing and Entrepreneurial Finance. Months after graduating, he went back to the Minnesota part-time to teach the university's first 3D printing class as an Adjunct Professor, where he did so for four semesters. In 2016, he was awarded "MedTech's 30 under 30 Rising Stars" by MDDI.

Derek joins Advanced Solutions Life Sciences to continue their recent success in providing quality-enabled bioprinting solutions to leading research institutions across the globe. "Biofabrication is one of the most promising technologies to improve human vitality, enabling us to manufacture replacement parts for the body out of its own materials," Mathers remarked.
