Boomer's son Gunnar Esiason was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis when he was two years old. Since then he has worked with his family and friends to put a face on the rare disease that impacts only 30,000 people in the US. He went to Boston College, where he accomplished his goal of graduating on time. Now, besides fulfilling one of his life's passions by coaching high school hockey, he works full time at the Boomer Esiason Foundation where he officially joins his father's fight against CF.

BEF Mission Statement: The Boomer Esiason Foundation is a dynamic partnership of leaders in the medical and business communities joining with a committed core of volunteers to heighten awareness, education and quality of life for those affected by cystic fibrosis, while providing financial support to research aimed at finding a cure.
