15 year-old Spotify star DYLI to release new single "Cherry Coke"

LOS ANGELES - Aug. 7, 2018 - PRLog -- Break-out Spotify star DYLI is releasing her newest single "Cherry Coke" from her third EP on August 10^th. The song is set to debut on MTV with follow up on VH1 and iHeart Radio. DYLI was recently interviewed by iHeart Radio's Culture News (https://www.iheart.com/podcast/the-culture-news-28269772/episode/interview-dyli---on-the-phone-with-david-serero---the-culture-news-29588061/) and gave an explanation of Cherry Coke that was wise beyond her years.

DYLI notes that her generation has a laissez-faire attitude toward each other due to social media. They all live in their own bubbles, within their own respective "profiles." Everybody wants to be "somebody." At just 13- years old DYLI found herself in the opposite predicament. She uploaded a song online called the "Weekend" that resonated instantly with her peers and ended up with more than 100,000 streams on Spotify. She followed that up with her second EP, "My Debut," released in 2017.Laced with powerful imagery and biting commentary on our society, our loss of innocence and the state of our world in general seen through the lens of our youth, her word-smithing landed her features with legendary rapper, MADCHILD (estimated release Jan 2019). What was once a hobby became a passion and now a career. She continues to attract fans from all walks of life who identify with her powerful voice.

DYLI's vocals are energetic, feminine and haunting (think Dolores O'Riodan, The Cranberries), while her musical style walks a fine line between Dark-Pop and R&B (similar to Lorde and Halsey). Her lyrical content is simple yet relatable, it is edgy and it is often polarizing.

"I grew up in a household where music was an important part of my life.  My family and I listened to music of all genres, all the time, so I feel it has always been in my blood," said DYLI. "I had my first live performance at the age of 7 and it was completely invigorating. I knew at that moment standing on stage that I had to pursue music. It all took off from there."

DYLI's captivating stage presence and intensity have opened many doors for the teenager. She has played at the famous Harlow's Night Club in Sacramento, opened for Katastro, and received a prestigious invitation to perform in the intimate setting of San José del Cabo's Flora Farms in Mexico.
