Collaboration between two exemplary stylemakers

June 4, 2018 - PRLog -- A taste for design. For the first time, two exemplary stylemakers with similar passions for design and luxury, have come together for a sophisticated collaboration. The two innovators - Joanna Lui Hickox, the muse behind CHA BEI, who also oversees Lifestyle Curation Services at Galaxy Entertainment Group and Dennis Chan, Creative Director at fine jeweller Qeelin, team up together to create a bespoke and playful epicurean experience.

This summer, under Joanna and Dennis' direction, CHA BEI will feature the ravishing afternoon tea, inspired by Qeelin's playful fusing of Chinese symbolism with creative craftsmanship, and that pays particular homage to the maison's exquisitely bejeweled panda, Bo Bo. Every element in the CHA BEI x Qeelin Afternoon Tea is meticulously and artistically articulated to embody the spirit of Dennis' jewellery.

From Qeelin's Bo Bo reimagined as a sugar figurine, to the intricate and delicate lines of the single rose, Joanna herself vetted every component of the culinary interpretation, accenting the presentation with CHA BEI's signature teacup, a nod to her collection of vintage china collected from her travels. The fun, edible teacups have been thoughtfully fashioned with a marble-like finish, as well as Qeelin's hallmark splash of red, drawing together the essence of both Qeelin and CHA BEI.

When asked about the collaboration, Joanna said, "Dennis is a master at showcasing Chinese modernity through artistic craftsmanship. I so admire his ability to playfully connect his design to meaningful Chinese symbols and history, and it's been exciting to have this opportunity to infuse what we do with the thoughtfulness he embodies at Qeelin."

Dennis also appreciated the creative journey with Joanna, "I really admire the attention-to-detail and the heart that goes into designing the experiences at CHA BEI. Her beautiful edible interpretations carry delicious surprise."

This collaboration between Joanna and Dennis encapsulates a whimsical spirit you'll savour as you taste the spotlight-stealing Gentleman Bo Bo Charcoal Chiffon Cake and each delicious little jewel, from the Hazelnut Cheesecake, to the Raspberry Financier, Coffee Mille Feuille and much more. While these enticing desserts are sure to be the highlight in this afternoon tea, the delicious savouries including the Caviar & Egg Crostini, Wagyu Beef Sliders, Tea Infused Cherry Tomatoes will complete the gourmet tea time experience.
