LAKEWOOD, N.J. - May 31, 2018 - PRLog -- Several members of the Shore Builders Association of Central NJ (SBACNJ) are working with organizations that are near and dear to their hearts in order to raise money and awareness to help fight diseases ranging from blood cancers to addiction, and a rare genetic childhood disease. SBACNJ member Danielle Bagdzinksi is working toward a $70,000 goal for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Person of the Year Campaign. The campaign results will be revealed at a gala event on June 20th. On September 8th the Professional Women in Building of the Garden State (PWBGS), a council of SBACNJ, will be participating in the HOPE Sheds Light HOPE Walk. This event helps to raise awareness and provide resources for local families affected by addiction. Past president of SBACNJ, Corey Wescoe, will be running the New York City Marathon on November 4th to benefit JAR of Hope, which raises money for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). These are just a few among many of the community organizations SBACNJ members are supporting this year.

According to Michael J. Kokes, current SBACNJ President, "Our association is proud to support its members in their goals to raise money and awareness for many worthy community organizations. Our members generously open their hearts and checkbooks to help and support their fellow members." The best way to help with fundraising efforts for these campaigns is by donating or participating. Kokes continues, "In addition to these three upcoming fundraising events, our members have supported a variety of local community organizations such as the Monmouth County SPCA Pet Pantry, Foodstock, United Way of Monmouth & Ocean Counties, Collier Group Home, Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monmouth & Middlesex Counties. From mentoring our youth, to providing building materials and labor where needed, we are blessed to be a part of the good these organizations do for people in our own communities."
