Previously recognized as a "Person to Watch Who Wants to Change the World" by the United Nations Foundation, Mr. Walsh was selected for his work to help women and youth from island communities realize their full potential on the world stage.

After receiving the award, Mr. Walsh shared that he hopes to pursue a career at the Red Cross, SwissRe, Nestlé, Novartis, UBS, FIFA, or the IOC when he completes his doctoral studies on African politics.
