Sentry Advice 2017 Excellence Awards winners

PERTH, Australia - April 8, 2018 - PRLog -- Leading professional services firm Sentry Group, has announced the winners of the 2017 Excellence Awards for its financial services advice licensee, Sentry Advice.

Each calendar year, Sentry Advice recognises outstanding performance within its Australia-wide network of advisers and member practices.

Sentry Group CEO and Chairman Murray Hills said, "These awards recognise our most successful advisers and practices measured not only by the delivery of best practice advice, but also their success in building solid advice businesses with high client satisfaction."

Sentry's two most prestigious awards in 2017 were awarded to:

"The Practice of the Year, Wealth Connexion in Queensland, demonstrated outstanding client service, best-practice professional development of advisers and staff, and an efficient, productive and profitable business.  Their practice is an outstanding example within the profession," Mr Hills said.

"Our outstanding Adviser was Keith Sheppard, whose practice Financial Planning Solutions Australia is based in Perth. Keith has more than 30 years' industry service specialising in investment advice for high net worth clients and institutions. He is also a high-profile personality in WA's business and sporting worlds."

Another industry veteran was awarded, as was a relative newcomer.

"Our Senior Adviser of the Year, Les King, has a successful practice in the beautiful Yarra Valley, that offers that friendliness and personalised service you often find in regional areas.  The award recognises his longstanding relationship with and commitment to his clients," Mr Hills said.

"Matthew Yates, winner of the Rising Star Award for advisers aged 35 and under, is someone to keep your eye on. His enthusiasm towards industry professionalism, signals a long and rewarding career in the financial services space."

Sentry also recognises the specialist area of life risk advice each year, which was won for the second consecutive year by Lifecover Australia, based in Queensland.
