Medical Center Saves Time and Money, Plus Gains Early Visibility to Expenses Through Invoice Automation

Archbold Medical Center, a four hospital and three nursing home health system with state-of-the-art facilities, was looking for cost and process efficiencies within the organization while optimizing their Infor Lawson investment by implementing APIA. APIA, which integrates with Infor Lawson Financials, automates the accounts payable workflow and provides a single source of truth for accounts payable invoice management.  Furthermore, this role-based solution, enables easier settlement and reconciliation processes, shortening of the monthly close process and enhances reporting and analytics.

The APIA implementation, which was successfully completed in under four months, has already provided Archbold Medical Center the much-needed control and oversight necessary to enforce accounting policies. "The Accounts Payable team has adopted APIA very well, they are finding it very easy to use and maintain. They are recognizing some immediate efficiencies, allowing them to spend more time doing an analytical evaluation of the invoices (in APIA). More invoices are being processed and approved now, because APIA is doing all the work," commented Sam Sapong, Senior Application Consultant for GForce. It is anticipated that the invoice cycle time will be reduced by at least 50 percent with the APIA implementation, and paper invoices will be eliminated entirely.

Impacts of the APIA implementation has been felt across Archbold Medical Center. Carla commented, "I have received a lot of great feedback. Leadership across all clinical and operational units are now able to login and view the status of invoices for their respective departments.
