MedShare Welcomes New CFO, Kim LaBoone

ATLANTA - Feb. 19, 2018 - PRLog -- MedShare, a global humanitarian aid organization based in Atlanta, has appointed Kim LaBoone as the organization's new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Ms. LaBoone joins MedShare from Skyland Trail, where she served as Vice President of Finance for the nonprofit behavioral healthcare organization. With a wealth of experience in healthcare-related finance, Ms. LaBoone also led finance functions at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta. Her background in auditing make her an ideal addition to MedShare's team. Having won Charity Navigator's 4-Star rating for 13 consecutive years, the organization is dedicated to transparency in fundraising and financial reporting.

As CFO, Ms. LaBoone will be responsible for managing financial functions for MedShare at its Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, as well as its offices in San Leandro, California, and Secaucus, New Jersey. These responsibilities include financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audit preparation, and 990 filings. As a member of MedShare's Senior Leadership team, she will report directly to Charles Redding, MedShare's CEO & President. Ms. LaBoone has extensive experience in improving financial operations and related processes and internal controls. Her proven track record in managing restricted funds and endowments as well as her knowledge of associated accounting standards make her a valuable addition to MedShare.

In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Georgia, Ms. LaBoone also has a Master of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia.
