WESTFIELD, N.J. - Feb. 18, 2018 - PRLog -- Get ready to enjoy different kind of Purim Celebration?
Purim commemorates the defeat of the tyrant, Haman, in ancient Persia (Iran) around the 4th century BCE and his plot to kill all the Jews in the country. Jews around the world celebrate by recalling the events, giving food gifts and charity. Children and adults, alike, typically dress in costumes and have a fun time.
Rabbi Levi Block, the Director of the Union County Torah Center, is excited to have Marshall appear for this year's festivities. This event is not just for the members of the Torah Center. We encourage and invite all members of the community to join us to celebrate and learn more about the holiday and the Torah Center.
Marshall, who has appeared on stage with hypnosis power houses such as the Incredible Hypnotist, Richard Barker, has been a featured performer for NJ's premier First Night celebration, First Night Morris, and on shows for media companies such as Refinery29 and Elite Daily. His performance resume includes fairs, festivals, comedy clubs, schools and corporations throughout the country. He said, "This is going to be a "different Purim Shpiel" than people are used to. I will be bringing a special show for this one night only."
Tickets for the event, which includes dinner, are just $25 for adults and $15 for children. Dinner and show begin at 5:30 pm. Reservations are required - Information and reservations can be found by visiting the Torah Center's website: www.torahcenter.org or calling the Torah Center at 908-789-5252.
