Fertility Clinic Fails to Provide Suitable Location for Breast-Pumping Employee

A lawsuit was filed on behalf of a former employee who was discriminated against and ridiculed for her decision to breastfeed her newborn baby.

NEW YORK - Feb. 7, 2018 - PRLog -- Imbesi Law P.C. recently filed a lawsuit on behalf of a former Neway Fertility Corp. employee. The case, Jessica Mack v. Neway Fertility Corp., Civil Case No.: 18-cv-01059, was filed in the United States District Court, Southern District of New York and has been assigned to Honorable George B. Daniels.

The complaint alleges that Neway Fertility failed to provide Ms. Mack a suitable location to express breast milk in the workplace. Federal and state law require employers to provide reasonable locations for employees to express milk in privacy and prohibit discrimination against women who choose to express breast milk in the workplace.

"It's unfortunate that my client, and many other women, end up in this position," says Ms. Mack's attorney, Brittany Weiner.
