Michael Miller Hosts AGM - "Crypto-Craze" Causes Increase in New Investment Accounts

VIENNA - Feb. 5, 2018 - PRLog -- Michael Miller hosted their Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday, February 3^rd at the Hilton Vienna Plaza Hotel. With almost 150 members and guests in attendance, the AGM was Michael Miller's most successful meeting to date. The AGM coincided with a fundraising event organized by Michael Miller in support of UNICEF, with attendees from around the world and a large representation of Michael Miller's clients from Europe, Middle East and North America.

"Interest in the activities and work of Michael Miller has grown significantly over the past 12 months since the opening of our new London Branch exactly 1 year ago this week," said Michael Miller's Chief Financial Officer, Rupert Charles. "Proof of this can be seen in the increase in attendance at the AGM – more than double the number of government and industry attendees compared to last years' gathering."

Michael Miller's largest annual networking meeting consisted of panels featuring regulators and industry specialists discussing the hottest topics to date, such as the rapid rise in popularity of cryptocurrencies and how the financial industry and regulators are responding to this rise.

"I wanted to avoid this meeting becoming a seminar solely about Bitcoin, but as a company, although Michael Miller does not advise it's clients to invest in the highly volatile cryptocurrency market, there's no escaping the fact that it is certainly the biggest talking point of the past 12 months and the technology itself is truly fascinating" added Mr. Charles.

"Thanks to Bitcoin and other "Cryptos", the subject of investing is now being discussed around the dinner table in homes all around the world again and we have certainly seen a sharp increase in new Investment Accounts being opened in the last quarter of 2017," explained Rupert.

For the guests in attendance at the Hilton Plaza, there were also some very interesting key-note speeches throughout the evening, along with the annual Michael Miller Employee Awards.
