The Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes Lehnert's outstanding service and dedication to the association.

Lehnert is currently a member of the BIASC Council on SAGE board of directors and has served many years as a member of the board of directors for BIASC and BIA's Orange County (OC) chapter. He has also held the position of chairman of membership for BIAOC, president of BIAOC's Sales & Marketing Council, and was named Associate of the Year by BIAOC. In 2014, Lehnert was honored with a lifetime achievement award, the 2014 A. Gary Anderson Memorial Associate of Excellence Award, presented by The Building Industry Association of Southern California (BIASC). This prestigious award recognizes Lehnert's contributions to the home building industry and the BIASC.
