Crystalline Silica Hazards in General Industry and Maritime Operations Discussed in New Video
The IAQ Video Network releases another educational production about important environmental, health & safety (EHS) issues.
"On June 23rd of this year, OSHA's new requirements for general industry and maritime will go into effect," said Paul Cochrane, President of Cochrane and Associates and the IAQ Video Network. "Reducing exposures to respirable crystalline silica in these industries, as was the case for construction companies last year, is important to curb the number of new cases of silicosis, lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and kidney disease."
This educational video was sponsored by a number of organizations and leading industry professionals that work to protect and enhance the public's health and safety. Sponsors include EMSL Analytical, LA Testing, Clark Seif Clark and Zimmetry Environmental to name just a few.
