Smita Maheshwari publishes her first book 'At Crossroads' with Notion Press

DELHI, India - Dec. 13, 2017 - PRLog -- Smita Maheshwari, a teacher by profession, published her first book 'At Crossroads (Greed for Love and the Love of Money)' with India's fastest growing self-publishing company Notion Press.

The book is a work of fiction which narrates the story of Lydia and Frank, through whom the author explores human psyche in relationships and in monetary affairs to unravel how different people behave in a given situation and to what extent our greed take us.

Frank, a young well settled married man, realizes his brother-in- law Victor's association with Lydia is nothing more than a compelling attraction. He tries to convince Victor, who is already engaged to Amy, to reveal the truth to Lydia. Victor's reluctance annoys him and he decides to do the needful. He sends her a letter, describing in detail how the man she is in love with is deceiving her and that he is engaged to be married to the woman of his family's choice.  Lydia is heartbroken and leaves the town, but not before arousing in his cold and lonesome heart, the longings of love.

The heartwarming narrative takes an unexpected turn when after five years fate brings Frank and Lydia together again. A whole new world of conspiracy and treachery lay bare for Frank and Lydia when she decides to marry her business partner, Timothy, the heir to a banking consortium, thus becoming privy to the biggest financial coup the world has ever seen. The gripping narrative meanders through an emotional rollercoaster followed by many spine-chilling incidents.

At Crossroads is a story of survival against all odds, of hope and the innate human ability of reformation. It serves both as a social commentary and historical critique on the business ethics and aspirations and dilemma of the millennials.
